About this Site
Institute of Government and Suwannee River Water Management District
This site is made possible through the Florida State University's Institute of Government (IOG) in coordination with the
Suwannee River Water Management District and funded by United States Geologic Survey (USGS) CAP grant #999. The original scope of this
project was a clearinghouse for the District.
Through its five affiliate programs (UF, USF, UCF, FAU, FGCU), the Institute of Government serves governments and communities
in Florida through applied research, training, technical assistance and public service. Former governor Reubin O’D Askew is a
senior fellow
at the Institute. IOG partners with the Florida Resources and Environmental Analysis Center (FREAC) to bring critical GIS
technology to small
communities in Florida. The IOG also coordinates a number of statewide conferences for government organizations, including the annual meeting
of the Florida Association of County Clerks.
