General This site is owned and operated by the Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FSU-FNAI) at FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY. The information contained on this internet map server (IMS) is intended for general public use and should not be relied upon for regulatory or other legal decision-making. Information on Florida’s conservation lands is provided to the FSU-FNAI by many public agencies, including Florida’s five water management districts, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, FDACS Division of Forestry, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, federal land managing agencies, and local governments. Private conservation organizations such as The Nature Conservancy and Audubon of Florida also contribute data. This map is a conceptual tool utilized for project development only. This map is not self-executing or binding, and does not otherwise affect the interests of any persons including any vested rights or existing uses of real property. The term “conservation lands” is not synonymous with “public lands”, since not all public lands are conservation lands (e.g., school properties) and some conservation lands are privately owned and managed. Not all conservation lands are accessible to the public for recreation.
