Determining the File Name
You will need to know the DEP quad number. Use the
Quad Name Locator to find this information.
The file names are comprised of the theme abbrevation plus the DEP quad number.
THEMES:
BND = Political Boundaries
HYD = Hydrography
PIP = Pipelines
RDS = Roads
RRS = Railroads
Downloading Instructions
These files are small enough to download easily, but if you experience difficulty, using
FTP is recommended.
These files are available on CD for $25 each. (A CD holds
about one-third of the state.)
Special Software Needed
DLGs are text files and must be converted into graphic format before
being used in a GIS. There are many conversion programs
available. Usually a GIS will provide its own DLG
conversion utility.
